Since these blemishes are purely cosmetic and do not affect paddle performance, the manufacturer does not provide refunds or exchanges. Racquet Network can confirm that this has been an issue with approximately 5% of the Apike pickleball paddles sold in 2012.
Rumours & Gossip
Smear campaigns by rivals in the US have convinced gullible people that this paddle is dangerously powerful. While is this demonstrably not the case, some clubs now prohibit players from using the Apike. Be sure to check with your club to ensure that you can use it before you buy it.
Safety Record
Officials with the Canadian Pickleball Federation have examined the injury incident reports at major pickleball facilties where Apike paddles are in daily use and have concluded that the Apike pickleball paddle is not any more or less dangerous to pickleball players than any other brand.

Pickleball paddles do not have warranties. Racquet Network is not able to provide replacement paddles, but will assist customers in contacting the manufacturer in the event of factory defects or other quality control issues.
