Champion Pickleball Paddle

Champion Pickleball Paddle

Champion Pickleball Paddle – 8.6 ounces/243 grams

The Champion pickleball paddle is a classic 2G paddle and is one of the top selling pickleball paddles in Canada and around the world. Many new players choose the Champion paddle as their first non-wooden paddle and play with it until they are ready for a more competitive paddle like the Apike.

Champion Pickleball Paddle – Construction

Like all 2G pickleball paddles, the Champion pickleball paddle is made of up layers. In this case there are two outside layers, called facings, made of graphite or fiberglass. Between these two layers is a core made of either cardboard composite or aluminum.

Aluminum vs. Composite

While it is virtually impossible to tell the two cores apart when playing with the Champion, both cores make distinctively different sounds when hitting the ball. Players who play indoors are generally warned against choosing aluminum core paddles due to the higher decibel levels measured on contact with the ball.

Distinguishing Attributes

Champion pickleball paddles with composite cores can be distinguished from Champion pickleball paddles with aluminum cores by examining the colours of the exterior paint. Those with solid, coloured backgrounds and white or black logos/lettering have composite cores. Those with beige or off-white backgrounds and coloured logos/lettering have aluminum cores.

Preferred by Beginners

Champion pickeball paddles are often preferred by beginners because they have a larger hitting surface. This larger surface is combined with a narrow, rectangular handle that helps new players direct the ball to where they want it to go.

Guards and Grips

This light-weight and durable paddle comes with a silicone edge guard and your choice of a regular grip or a cushioned grip. Coloured grips are also available upon request.

Champion Pickleball Paddles – Colours

Composite core Champion pickleball paddles are available with black, yellow, red, green, blue, green or purple backgrounds. Aluminum core paddles are beige with blue, red, green or purple logos/lettering on their faces.
