  • Custom Stringing vs Discount Stringing - Ian asks: “Why does custom stringing cost more than discount stringing?” The one-word answer is: efficiency. • Is Your Racquet a String Eater? - Take a good look at the racquet in the image at the top of this article. It won’t take you long to see why the string broke where it broke. It broke because the grommet for that string hole is both crushed and split. Two holes to the left of that, another grommet is broken. […]

  • Why Do Strings Break? - Here at Racquet Network, our stringers re-string nearly 2000 racquets a year. Less than a dozen racquets a year come back for warranty repairs. This means that 99.994% of the racquets we repair are fine while 0.006% experience premature string breakage. Yet in almost every one of the 0.006% of cases where strings break prematurely, […]

More information about squash racquets:

  • Squash Racquets With One-Year Warranties - Breaking a brand new squash racquet is frustrating. It is even more frustrating when that racquet is not covered by a warranty. Due to the nature of the game of squash, most squash racquets are not covered by warranties. In fact, among the many brands that we carry, only Wilson offers a one year warranty […]
  • Squash Racquet Grip Size - Unlike tennis racquets for which grip size is critically important, squash racquets are not manufactured with different grip sizes. That is to say while there are differences between adult, junior and children’s squash racquets, one cannot purchase an adult racquet with a particular grip size. Instead, squash players all start with the same grip size […]
  • Should I Buy a Used Squash Racquet? - In tight economic times like these, everybody wants to save money where they can. Buying used squash racquets, instead of new squash racquets, is one way to do that. But you have to be careful if you want to go this route. Saving money is one possibility, but getting ripped off is another. So here […]
  • Head Heavy Squash Racquets - Head heavy squash racquets are prefered by players who want additional power from their racquet. While lower level players seem to be attracted to head light racquets because they believe that the lighter head will allow them to hit harder, the opposite is generally true. The more head heavy a squash racquet is, the more […]
  • Head Light Squash Racquets - Head light squash racquets are most suitable for high level players capable of extremely fast swing speeds. While lower level players seem to be attracted to head light racquets because they believe that the lighter head will allow them to hit harder, the opposite is generally true. The lack of weight increases the speed of […]
  • Wrong Product – Right Price - It doesn’t matter what you are buying — racquets, shoes, string, accessories — price should not be your most important consideration. If it is, you will almost certainly make a poor decision. In the past 24 hours, for example, we have had two customers make poor decisions because they had price-focused tunnel vision. One spent […]
  • Where to Get a Squash Racquet Re-Gripped - When the grip is worn on your squash racquet, you will miss shots you would normally make. In fact, every time you hit hard shots off center, the squash racquet will turn in your hand. The more it turns in your hand, the more shots you will miss. Most recreational squash players don’t understand the […]
  • How to Choose a Squash Racquet - In deciding which racquet you should choose for squash, you first question should be this: how often do I intend to play? If the answer is: I am not sure I will even be playing squash six months from now, then it really doesn’t matter which racquet you buy nor does it matter where you […]
  • Squash Racquets for Beginners - I give the same advice to squash beginners that I give to tennis beginners who join our network. Don’t spend $200 on your first racquet. As a beginner, you should take that $200 and divide it into two parts. Spend $50 to $75 on a basic racquet and spend the rest on lessons. Racquets are […]

3 reviews for TECNIFIBRE CARBOFLEX 130S

  1. Rated 5 out of 5

    Kiefer Waite

This racquet is a clear improvement from the old carboflex 130 racquets. It has a perfect balance of touch, feel, power, forgiveness, control, and durability that only Tecnifibre seems to be able to deliver. The inclusion of a removable bumper guard on the top of the racquet and a grommet strip that protects the strings on the side wear fixes the only real drawback of last year’s model. IMO, The Carboflex 130 S is truly the best racquet on the market right now for an all around playing experience.

Normally, i wud not bother doing a reveiw. But since im getting a discount this raquet is great. i like it so much i am going to use my discount to buy another one. i tried this one and a bunch of others when I did the raquet trial. i tried about 15 raquets in all. It came down to between this one and the orange salming one but this one was the one i went with. i have been playing with almost a month and i still like it so i am going to get anther one before my discoutn expires.

This is favorite of the Caroflex rackets. I tried the 125, the 130 and the 135 in your demo plan. The 125 was too light and the 135 was too heavy. Although I think I could have played just as well with either of those rackets, the 130 just feels the best. It feels really good on volleys especially. The frame is stiff and doesn’t flex on hard volleys or drives. It’s not soft like my Dunlop and it’s not ridiculously head heavy like some of the other racquets I demoed during the demo period.
