Edgeless pickleball paddles were very popular five years ago. Now, not so much. Edgeless pickleball paddles are lighter than paddles with edges, but that is not necessarily a good thing. Edge guards protect the edges of pickleball paddles. Paddles without edge guards are susceptible to damage.
