Children’s Badminton Racquets

Babolat Mini Bad Badminton Racquet
The most important characteristic of a child’s badminton racquet is the length.
We define child players as ages 8 and under. At this age, it is extremely important to support their development by giving them a racquet that is proportional to their height. Under no circumstances should a child be playing with an adult-length racquet. In fact, unless they are exceptionally tall for their age, most children under 8 should not even play with youth racquets.

There are minor but important differences between children’s racquets and youth racquets. Most children’s racquets, for example, are shorter than youth racquets. However, the heads of children’s racquets are not smaller. In fact, they are proportionally larger, which makes it easier for children to make contact with the shuttle.

The best way to determine which racquet is right for your child is to bring them into the store for consultation with one of our experts. We can help you pick out a badminton racquet that will bring out the best in you child.

Below is a sample of racquets that our experts have determined to be generally suitable for badminton players ages 8 and under.
