Babolat’s Pure Aero VS series is a premium tennis racquet series created for adult tournament players with clean strokes who like to hit with top spin. The series consists of two models in two different weights. They are sold in identical pairs so that tournament players can use them interchangeably.
Both racquets in the Pure Aero VS series are 16×20 with 98 square inch heads, which put them in the singles category. The heavier VS Tour was designed for big servers while the VS was created for players who get most of their points off of rallies.

The Pure Aero VS follows 16×20 stringing pattern and has a head size of 98 square inches, which puts it in the singles category. Racquets of this size/pattern are most suitable for players with high swing speeds who play primarily from behind the baseline.

Weights, Lengths and Grip Sizes
The Babolat Pure Aero VS is available in a single weight: 295g/10.4oz. It is 27 inches long, which is standard for tennis racquets. It is being manufactured in grip sizes 2 through 5.
Grip size 3 (4 3/8″) is a universal adult size suitable for everyone over 5′ tall. Most players start with grip size 3 and build it up to whatever size they need. However, special grip sizes are available as needed. Grip size 1 is suitable for 10-12 year olds. Grip 2 is for petite women. Grip 4 is for men of average height. Grip 5 is for men over 6′.
Materials and Balance Point
The frame of the Pure Aero VS consists of a high quality graphite. Unstrung, the balance point on this frame is 320mm, which means that is 7 points head light. Of course, the balance of this frame is changed with the addition of string, grip, overgrip and vibration dampeners.
Stringing Advice
General Advice – The recommended tension for this racquet is 50-59 lbs. This recommendation applies to synthetic gut and multifilament strings, not to polyester. Customers who choose to string this racquet with polyester strings should consider 50 lbs to be the maximum, not the minimum.
