Our Description
We thought the Arcsaber series was done. However, it appears as though Yonex has given up on their brilliantly overcomplicated Duora series and that they are returning to the Arcsaber series, which has performed so well for them in the past.
The Arcsaber 11 is now completely updated with several new versions including the PRO (for serious players), the TOUR (for recreational players) and the PLAY (for youth). The PRO version is made in Japan and features all of the technologies you would expect to find in a Japanese-made premium frame. The TOUR version is made in Taiwan and is pre-strung from the factory with Yonex Demo Gut. The PLAY version is made in China and is also pre-strung with Yonex Demo Gut.

The acclaimed ARCSABER series designed for control is reimagined and returning to courts in February 2022. Inheriting the one-of-a-kind feeling at impact, the new ARCSABER 11 will sport enhanced playability with emphasized shuttle-pocketing for a controlled offense. Taking control of the court can come in all different forms, and for the ARCSABER, it comes from the extra few milliseconds of shuttle contact time allowing assertive, precise shot-making.
With nearly 15 years of history that saw astonishing performances from world-class athletes like Taufik Hidayat (INA), the ARCSABER series holds a unique positioning in the Yonex racquet line-up as a series defined by shuttle-hold. In 2007 when the series was first released, the ARCSABER 7 came at a time when repulsion-based racquets were the standard. Today, after years of research and development, shuttle-hold has become a key ingredient in providing confidence for an athlete and their shuttle control.
The new ARCSABER 11 is enhanced with the development concept of “decisive control”. Analysis of the previous model showed potential for improvement by increasing frame stability while increasing shuttle contact time.
Frame stability is improved with a new frame structure that has a stiff build at the top and bottom of the face, reducing twisting and unwanted distortion at impact. The new CONTROLASSIST BUMPER is a connected grommet piece placed at the top of the frame which contains T-ANCHOR, micro-sized tetrapods, that help lock in vertical strings reducing unwanted string movement and improving accuracy.
To extend shuttle contact time, the sides of the frame, unlike the top and bottom, are softer allowing flexibility around the sweet spot. Also a new technology, the POCKETING BOOSTER is lined within the top of the frame. This inner lining is a proprietary rubber-like material that brings additional elasticity to the frame’s flex increasing both shuttle hold and shuttle launch speed.
The advancements in the new model saw 6.6% increase in shuttle contact time, and 3.7% increase in smash power in comparison to the previous ARCSABER 11 (tested by Yonex).
The new ARCSABER 11 will be seen in the hands of World No.1 mixed doubles Sapsiree Taerattanachai (THA), Tokyo Olympics Bronze Medalist in men’s doubles Aaron Chia (MAS), and many other elite players on tour. The racquets are schedule for a global launch on February 25th, 2022 in three different models, PRO, TOUR and PLAY – each developed with the same performance concept but with variations in performance materials used. These racquets will be accompanied by racquet bags with matching designs.

Flex
This is a stiff flex badminton racquet, which makes it suitable for big, strong, athletic athletes at the elite level. Most recreational players will find this frame too stiff to use effectively, especially on the corner-to-corner backhand clear.

Materials
The loop is made of a mix of advanced materials that include High Modulus Graphite lined with Pocketing Booster. The shaft consists of High Modulus Graphite, Super HMG and Ultra PE Fiber
Available Weights / Grip Sizes
This racquet is being manufactured in a range of weights and grip sizes. The 4U version weighs an average of 83 grams and is available in one grip sizes: G5. The heavier 3U version weighs an average of 88 grams and is available in grip size 4. Both options are being imported by Yonex Canada.
Stringing Advice
The heavier of these two racquets (3U4) should be strung in the 20-28 lb range. The lighter (4U4) should be strung in the 19-27 lbs range. Players who need advice about stringing this racquet should booking an appointment to visit our store and consult with a stringing expert.

Isometric Head Shape
Yonex’ square-shaped ISOMETRIC frame shape is designed to keep vertical strings at a similar length. This shape produces a larger sweet spot in all directions.
Solid Feel Core
The built-in solid feel core in Yonex premium racquets reduces harmful miscellaneous vibration at impact. This technology, called “solid feel core” is a feature of all Yonex racquets manufactured in Japan.
Yonex Ultra PEF
The shaft is constructed using ‘Ultra PEF’ – ultra poly ethylene fibre – which is light enough to float on water yet able to withstand immense forces. these characteristics allow for maximum shock absorption.
Super Slim Shaft
This is the slimmest shaft ever produced by Yonex. It vastly reduces air resistance whilst providing maximum feel.
Energy Boost Cap
The new shape of the energy boost cap allows the shaft to flex, which ensures the maximum effect of “Namd (more flex and faster kick-back graphite material)” and stabilizes the racquet face by preventing the shaft twisting, increasing control
Yonex T-Anchor
A new composite material T-ANCHOR used in the T-joint helps reduce excess torque when hitting an off centre shot.

Aero+Box Frame
Yonex frames are contoured differently on different parts of the loop. Some areas feature an aerodynamic shape to reduce air resistance. Other areas feature a box shape to provide strength and power. This combination offers a quick swing with a solid feel.
